 Hi Lea, these arrived today. They are for my 90 yr old mother, whose shin skin was torn by the slightest tap of the paw by my gentle dog - and through thick tights at that. She is exceptionally fussy, but is delighted with them - easy to put on, and so comfortable she says she doesn't even know they are there. When looking up thin shin skin, I came across discussions in a diabetes forum, and in a bronchiectasis forum; both conditions seem to result in very fragile shin skin - the bronchiectasis because they have to take steroids long-term, and this thins the shin skin. I posted messages in both, mentioning your wikkies. Some sufferers were mentioning a new Aveeno cream they have found helps - 'Positively Ageless Skin Strengthening Body Cream' which I found at soft-skin.co.uk - cheaper there than at amazon. It is therefore essential to keep the wounds clean and protected from dust etc. As the spatial frame measures 27 inches in circumference, trousers will not go over it. I saw the Wikkies website and thought a pair of these would be ideal. I rang Lea and explained the problem.
